The name of the album will be clear soon but more about that later on. The atmosphere is "awaiting". We hope that we have some tastings for you early next year. Well.

Firstly, thank you all for birthday congratulations! At the moment the situation is such that the recording of the 4th album is practically finished. Some vocals are still missing but Jussi will sing those parts as soon as he returns from Thailand. The first single has been selected, too, and it will include an earlier unreleased song on the b-side. We'll shoot a video for the single in the beginning of January and the single will start airing on radios at around the same time. Damn how fast the time is running. In the summer I was thinking that there's a long time until the release and now it's already knocking on doorstep. I'm really nervous.

After the compilation I feel that we can now have a fresh start. New record company, new songs, new year. As you know, we are signed by SonyBMG.

People, it was a fancy feeling when I listened for the first time to our new single and it's so damn good that I had some trouble to believe that it is actually me playing in that band. I hope that the song will strike you like a knife hits the butter. The tour will start soon and we'll be back on the road again. See you at gigs and let's make year 2009 a gorgeous one. I have spoken.

Hi,
today I went to record the songs "Syvään valoon" (Into Deep Light) and "Huume" (Drug). In "Syvään valoon" there are now some amazing background/polyphonic vocals in chorus parts. I was very pleased because of them. This week I should finish my vocal parts and then it's time for strings etc.  

Let's hope that I wouldn't get a cold when shooting the music video of "Polje" on Thursday as it will be shot outdoors and it's quite cold out there. So maybe I need a stuntman...

People have been asking when the copies of the single will be released. The single will be digitally available on January 12th but the concrete single, which also includes an acoustic version of "Lasinsirpaleilla" will be delayed at least by a week until it can be found in record stores.

We'll let you know the exact date as soon as it's confirmed.

G'day.
I just came from the studio-shootings for Mitä Vittua and this is definitely going to be great! The EP could function as a way to show you a bit version or actually an 'alternative ending' [of the song]. There's also going to be a couple of new songs and a couple of live songs and as I said, the video. Studio's booked for the end of this month so not much more time until then.

I would translate it as usually, but i'm sitting in the hostel in tampere (i'm gonna move in here, this place is way too good xD) and i don't want to occupy the computer for too long.

The gigs [impossible to transfer this pun to english] start soon again. In a way - he writes - it feels like this one month' break was a little to short, but it was enough to reload the batteries. [no idea what's next].
He also writes that there's some more work to do and that they intend to rehearsing all the material, i.e. more than just the so called "album tracks" [i rather understand that as: "the singles"]. There's also going to be new songs which sound good in all this chaotic world of voices [huh?]. Working titles would be "Sinä maalaat mieleni", "Poispäin minusta", "Mä lennän" ["You're painting my mind" (?), "Ahead of me", "I'm flying"] and so on.

"It's been a while since I've written here, so now it's the time to rumble. I was supposed to write a report on the summer tour but my phone broke down and all the photos and stuff were lost. But we'll see.

Well. After the cruise gigs we'll travel directly into the middle of Ostrobotnia for four days to record demos for the album No. 5! We have about ten songs rehearsed. Now that we'll have a different producer it feels pretty much like some sort of a Christmas. To be honest, I'm nervous but in a positive way. The songs are insanely great. I know that I say like this every time but still, it's the thing that keeps things going. The fact that it really feels like that, every time. And if it doesn't feel like that some time, it means that we're heading to a wrong direction. But not this time. Absolutely not. I'll write more when we're in the studio.

New Year's Greetings from Teemu. - and album news

2009 is in the box and thanks another time for the unforgettable tour all around Finland. We also put up a nice collage of pictures from different places we've been to all over the year. Great clubs and steamy, joyful festvials. Ahhh.


Not too much to say yet before we have to (are allowed to) go into the studio's ovens to create album no V. We're working together with a guy called Jyrki Tuovinen this time.


In Alaveteli (however that's written, sorry to everyone from there) we spent four days with demoing and the outcome was the beginning of 9 songs. Now it's time to take a bit of distance and to let them brew, so to speak. In March we'll then be living in Hollola. Following that, there should be coming a Uniklubi-record, that's my initial feeling. We'll see. A single will probably come out some time in May, more about that later.


From myself and from the band I'd like to wish you all a great year 2010! Be nice, but not too nice.

The album cover has been published and the album release date is getting close. I have listened the master tape and I can say that the album WORKS! While you're waiting for the album, please vote for us and ask radio stations to play us; Radio Rock and Radio Nova, too!

With the many translation-threads available I didn't quite know which one to choose for this, but since some/most of the guys' comments about ...basically everything are in here as well, I decided that I should maybe post Teemu's comments on his songs (from the merch-box), too.

So, this is what he wrote. [at this point i need to mention that i love the design of the titles <3)

VALVEKOOMA
Yep. This song originally had a different text and melody. The name has pretty much been the same from the beginning. In the first scratch I properly criticised the Idols/Big Brother-phenomenon. Later I had different ideas, however. In the end the text reflects on the worldview fxoxuxnxdx based on my experiences. ZEITGEIST is a good beginning. *_°

SINÄ MAALAAT MIELENI
Yes. A pure love song. When the song starts, close your eyes and see a rainy autumn-park in all its beauty. Or look out of the window, in case the picture in question can be seen through there. We did quite a lot of things with this one until it found its final shape. But it was worth it the result is enchanting. =)

SILKIIN KÄÄRITTYINÄ
There's a little vibe from the mixing of the before mentioned two. (?)
A story of two persons' beautiful fate in the dark world. And it is a little bit like that: the little things make the beauty; the big things make the ugliness.

This was my first song for the "goldfish".

JUHLAHUONE
A story of the live on a timeline from start to finish. From my point of view there's a nice 'Sielun Veljet'-thing going on there. A hopeful song, in which the things are good at the end. One of the live-favourites.

Winter depression has been defeated

Hey.

It seems that winter depression has been defeated. Cheers! We got a couple of additional gigs for April: Tampere and Helsinki. The Tampere gig is TAMKO's [TAMKO = the Student Union of Tampere University of Applied Sciences) student party so probably people are there in their overalls. But be brave and be there if you dare, the event is not a private party.

Even though we will only start working on the next album at the end of this year, a few new song drafts have already seen the light so it seems that there are no problems with song writing. Yes, and a few days ago we took Kultakalat (radio edit) to the radio stations so please support us just the way you have done this far. You have been great.

After several months of thinking my decision is that my journey in the caravan called Uniklubi is ending. "Hello everybody!

I decided to write about how we're doing as it's been a while. It has been over a year since our latest album "Kultakalat" was released. Still, that's not so long time. However, I have been thinking about new songs for Uniklubi for a while and that's a good thing. It's been refreshing to do stuff with Nefer for a while and it has given me new points of view to many things.

It's sure that Uniklubi will be musically refreshed to some or other direction so it's very unlikely that you would hear another "Kultakalat" album. Because Teemu decided to move on, a new bassist will surely add some new edge to the orchestra. There's a certain great bass artist who has agreed to try what it is like to play with us. We're eager to see what there is to come. But more about that later on.

This is the so-called new adventure with this orchestra and we'll be back as soon as we have fixed the line-up and, then, some music. Until then, bye-bye and have a very nice summer, everyone.
