Helouu! This band now lost its virginity with regard to student cruises. It was wild. Things are usually quite strange on cruises but these people were a real mess. Next we'll be heading for Kotka and Evijärvi so come along and have fun! The tour is progressing nicely and it feels that the gigs keep on getting better and better. Soon we're going to Lapland...maybe it's then finally time for downhill sleighrides?

"Hello!
The bus was full of quite tired boys when we drove home from Pieksämäki. In fact, I was quite finished on Saturday already. It was nice to see snow and the sun as it had been a long time since. Well... We had a great time and the gigs went well! Damn, my head feels totally empty now that I'm trying to scribble in here something about our tour in Lapland. I must now take it easy for a couple of days until Wednesday when we'll rock like hell in Helsinki at Apollo Live Club.

Have a wild day! The time has obviously flied quickly as it's such a long time since the previous diary entry. A lot of things have happened after our tour in Lapland and we've had a good time touring here and there in Finland. It's been nice to notice that a few new songs have started shaping up and we'll soon have butterflies in our stomachs because of the making of the next album. That's crazy!

Well, before that we have to finish the spring tour and the best part: the SUMMER and the FESTIVALS are soon here! YEAH! But back to this week... next in our tour program is "leave your brain behind and embark on the ship" -styled weekend. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the flu which has been bullying this band leaves us alone and that everybody would be in good health on the gigs. I've had this damn flu for nearly two weeks but now I feel better, fortunately. The sun is shining outside so let's put on our sailor caps and towards the ship for rock'n'roll. HURRY UP!

"Hello!
We've now started our journey towards the next album. The first demos are now ready. A couple of days ago we recorded seven new songs and I must say that I feel great again. Our intention is to record a few more demos during the summer and then, in the autumn, we'll go to the studio.

Before that we'll pamper you with a compilation album that's due to be released in the autumn. In addition to the familiar songs there will be something new and something extra material as well. By the end of the year the photobook "Uniklubi - Rakkaudesta hulluuteen" [can be translated as "From love to insanity" OR as "Because of love for insanity" -Ng], that sums up in photos the best (and maybe also the worst) moments of Luotisade tour.  

Anyways, at the end of this month Uniklubi will start the summer tour which covers several festivals around Finland and also elsewhere.

Everybody: Have a good time while waiting for the summer. Enjoy the sun and the warmth if the summer in Finland makes them available.

Hello everybody!

It's been again a gloomy autumn, as you have certainly read. We had really planned and waited for our acoustic tour and it had to be cancelled because of my vocal problems. It really sucked.

They diagnosed a trauma in my vocal cords and it needed complete rest and care... All the fun things were prohibited. Now the situation is in control and we are able to start touring in the beginning of 2009, as planned. The first single is due to be released in January. But more on the tour and the release dates later on! The new website is coming, by the way... Very good-looking and all-covering, for once.

The very reason why I decided to write my good feelings in here is that next week I will go to record my parts for first songs and that's great! You can read more about the studio sessions on our forum. The topic is called "Petrax 2008/studiopäiväkirja", even though we will finish the album at Deerhouse studio (in Tampere). But I guess this is all for now... I must now run to the studio... Janne and Pasi will be playing guitars. Yeah.

Hello,

Oh dear, how quick the year passed again on the way, and also the record came to be a work almost as if unintended. [? vahingossa. Oo] Jes! Just the last singing around and our 4th album is already finished.

On the 8th I'm up to go to YleX for talking nonsense [?] and my fixed plan would be to present you our fresh and new single "Polje", dear people.
So do listen.
About the time I don't have any idea because it comes out (just like always) [??], but in any case, the 8th is the first time the first single is played.

We're also going go record a video the same day and if everything goes really good then the new website should be opening that day as well, but ["I'm not sure if it will be ready by then" (added by Ng)] [?]
But nothing else more than a huge thanks to you for having passed the year on behalf of the whole band!

Hello!

A little update:
I went to the doctor's yesterday (13.1.) [to have his vocal cords operated -Ng] and my recovery will take longer than expected. The voice therapy begins in two weeks' time and the recovery will take in total four weeks. After that I can sing normally again. The recovery and voice therapy are very important now so that I wouldn't have to go to an operation like that ever again, don't you think so? Because of this, the gig scheduled for 22.1. has to be cancelled.  :(

This is kinda sad but there's nothing else we can do. "Let's move on, said the Grandma when stuck in snow." [No idea whether there's a corresponding proverb in English -Ng] But don't worry, the vocal parts for the album were finished before the surgery... In a few songs you can hear "sexy growling or oinking" that is sexy in my opinion... but isn't it just rock'n'roll!  ;) Well, anyways I'm very happy with the result of our studio sessions!

What else... Remember all those votings like Himoituimmat etc. REMEMBER TO VOTE!

Yes, I have indeed the unmastered record there and there's not much else to say than that I'm damn proud of that album. I also believe that you'll like it, and if you won't like it then you don't like anything.

We're about to start practising for the tour this week, and there's one surprisegig going to be fixed somewhere... time's a surprise. I forgot the date.
Yay, not too long until we hit the road!  

PS: The concert in Järvenpää was cancelled because of the organiser. We're trying to shift the concert to another place.

Well. So the record is in stores right now and the Syvään Valoon-tour starts from Salo on 13.3.  
At this point we already did some shows. Shows in Lapland and the release-gig in Amadeus. There was a bit of stiffness/nervousness in the beginning since there'd been a break before but after all we started getting a hang on it again on the show at Amadeus so we'll go back on the road with good feelings this weekend.

We're going to take a camera on tour so that some special material will find its way to the diary. We're also going to get some music-video material on tour.

Not much more than that right now. See you on the shows!

I'm writing in here again after a long time. I've mainly focused on travelling and writing lyrics for the last 1 1/2 months. We will still have a couple of shows here before we start the actual work on the next album. Soon our mental strength will be put to a test and the so-called stress will sneak in slyly from background and take away the hope for a future. But that's how it goes.

Probably there's nothing else to write about. I don't dare telling you anything about the songs so far, nor are walking a cat or grocery shopping such things that I'd write about in here. You can listen to the record when it comes out.

Hello!

Damp & sweaty news from Tampere, Finland! The summer has started little by little when it comes to the gigs, and also Romantiikan Riippet have been on the scene already. The show at Lahden Yöt [Lahti] was a blast. Thanks to everyone who's been there.
Most of all however, apart from the sun, a brand new release is heating up the emotions. In a good sense. The single 'Aikasi on nyt' found a good feedback and we're in good spirits that we didn't get such a [BASIC] song playing on the radio. After a few weeks we'll be finishing -Kultakalat-, after which the waiting will expand to manageable proportions. Already craving for a new club-tour. Only now will be shown who fixes it. I.e.: we will.

Don't forget to share your endless support for our band by voting for us so that the song will be on the top of all the radio playlists. And a dear welcome to shows at the end of the summer.

PS. It might be that you're going to hear/see something cool at DBTL (Down by the Laituri, festival in Turku). Hopefully.

Hey.

Great. So the shows are released and the record is in the shops soon. Impossible to wait for the bus to start again so that we get to play. Especially the new songs are great to play.

We've been practising and we've done some promo. In magazines like Sue, Rumba and Sound you can read what we have to say about anything related to the release of the record You've also been fabulous at voting. Especially on Himottuimmat [YleX's "most wanted"-list] - Thank you all for that!
